The Motorcycle Clubs Symposium, held this Saturday, May 17, at Plaza Mayor Medellín, as part of the scheduled academic events, established itself as a key platform to strengthen motorcycle culture through collective experience and awareness. Álex Barros, a former professional rider, captivated the audience by recounting his incredible career, which began at age 3 and led him to the World Championship at just 15. Alongside him, Silvio Frasson, from Repsol, highlighted the importance of preventive maintenance and protective accessories, sharing key differences between the habits of motorcyclists in America and Europe. “One day of training can change your life and prevent many emergencies,” stated Frasson, reinforcing the message of safety and preparation.
The inspiration continued with Martín Urruty, the renowned voice of MotoGP, who motivated attendees to pursue their dreams without settling: “If you are open to new opportunities, life will take you where you dream of being.” This gathering not only brought together technical knowledge and high-level anecdotes but also demonstrated the power of the motorcycle community as an agent of transformation, uniting passion, learning, and responsibility on a single stage.
