The Sustainable Mobility Revolution is already rolling in Colombia!

The First Panel on Sustainable and Light Mobility at the XVII 2-Wheel Fair made it clear that the future of mobility is already here. Silvia Montilla, CEO of Unergo, presented a revolutionary battery exchange model that eliminates the need for chargers and reduces costs by 60%, while Iván Darío García Franco, executive director of the ANDI Motorcycle Industry Chamber, revealed striking figures: the light mobility sector has grown by more than 700% since 2023. The reason? Colombians are massively adopting these solutions in response to congestion and the need for eco-friendly alternatives.

However, sustainability goes beyond adoption. Katherin Uribe, from Sistema Verde, warned about a crucial challenge: component recycling. With a 97% recovery rate for lead-acid batteries, Colombia demonstrates that it can lead the circular economy in the region. The 2-Wheel Fair thus consolidates itself as the stage where innovation, growth, and environmental responsibility unite to accelerate the shift towards cleaner and more efficient mobility.
