The 1st F2R Road Safety Seminar marked a milestone at the 17th edition of the Motorcycle Fair, becoming a key platform for protecting motorcyclists’ lives. Mateo González Benítez, Secretary of Mobility for Medellín, inaugurated the event with the powerful campaign #TeQueremosVivo, emphasizing that road safety education saves lives. Iván Darío García Franco, Director of the ANDI Motorcycle Industry Chamber, revealed encouraging data: Medellín reduced motorcyclist fatalities by 11%, while nationally the figure dropped by 2% in 2024 and 3% so far in 2025.
The seminar also featured international speakers such as Sebastián Moya (Motos Chile Academy), who highlighted the value of continuous training in safe riding, and Darío Rincón, who analyzed local road safety challenges. This gathering demonstrated that when industry, government, and society work together, it is possible to transform streets into safer spaces. The Motorcycle Fair not only showcases the latest technology but also leads the way toward a responsible road culture.
