During the 16th edition of F2R, the 10th anniversary of this space\u2014led by the F2R organization and supported by Laura Tob\u00f3n, known as Morada Biker\u2014was commemorated. She received a recognition for placing a very important emphasis on women and their role in motorcycling.<\/p>\n\n
With more than 250 attendees, the forum featured contributions from leading women riders at national and international level, such as Leidy Milena Salcedo, a psychologist at the National Road Safety Agency, who stated in her speech that the number of fatalities by sex among motorcycle riders is higher in men, at 69.1%, compared to women at 23.6%, which reflects the care women take when riding a two-wheeled vehicle. Likewise, Meli Rico, a woman rider and enduro racer; Lorena Carmona V\u00e1zquez, a woman rider from Viajar es un Cuento; and Roc\u00edo Centa, a journalist and creator of Peru\u2019s Mototec Magazine, shared their experiences. They have contributed to empowering their role, demonstrating that women\u2019s mobility is careful and continues to build networks, strengthening women\u2019s participation in mobility and encouraging many more women to get on a motorcycle in a responsible and safe way. <\/p>\n\n
Guillermo Paj\u00f3n, Director of Feria de las 2 Ruedas, highlighted at the forum the use of motorcycles for enjoyment, the experiences that can be lived on them, and their use as a tool to get to know and connect with people.
