Colombia: A fundamental pillar in the global motorcycle industry
Colombia: A fundamental pillar in the global motorcycle industryColombia has firmly established itself as a key player in the global motorcycle industry, distinguished not only by its growing domestic demand but also by its robust assembly and production capabilities. According to the National Business Association of Colombia (ANDI), motorcycles account for 61.94% of the country's vehicle fleet, with 833,178 new registrations recorded in 2024. This figure positions Colombia as the tenth-largest market for motorcycle demand worldwide.
Even more impressive is the fact that 93.35% of the motorcycles registered in the country are assembled locally across eight plants distributed in five departments. This statistic underscores the strength and competitiveness of the national industry, which not only meets domestic demand but also drives economic growth through job creation and technological development.
Amid this landscape of growth and consolidation, the Feria de las 2 Ruedas (F2R) has emerged as a pivotal event for the industry in Colombia and across the Americas. More than just a showcase for innovations and trends, the F2R serves as a vital platform for connection and collaboration among businesses, professionals, and enthusiasts, further solidifying Colombia's role as a cornerstone of the global motorcycle sector.
